Stretches To Relieve Neck Pain
Do you have nagging neck pain you are looking for relief from? Neck pain can be caused by many things, such as poor posture, sitting incorrectly on your desk, looking down at your phone for long periods of time or sleeping in an incorrect position.
Here are four stretches you can do every morning and throughout the day to eliminate pain and stiffness in your neck.
Side Neck Release
For this stretch you need to stand up straight and turn your neck so your eyes are down towards your shoulder. Use the hand of that shoulder you are looking towards behind your head and take your other arm and place it behind your back. Finally, gently pull down your head with your hand and hold for 30 seconds. Repeat on other side.
Hand Clasp Behind Head
Stand up straight and palm your hands together behind the base of your skill. Gently pull down in attempt to point your elbows towards the ground. Hold for 30 seconds.
Stand up straight and connect your hands behind you. Pull your shoulders down while squeezing your shoulder blades together. Then lift your chin up and you should feel a stretch in your throat. Hold for five seconds and repeat up to five times.
Stand up straight and touch your chin with two fingers. Gently push your chin in until it creates a double chin. Don’t tilt your chin down. Repeat 10 times.
