Chiropractic Care Improves Flexibility
Things such as accidents or sedentary lifestyles can cause poor flexibility and range of motion issues. This leads to unwanted symptoms such as pain and stiffness. Poor flexibility and range of motion can be addressed in many ways and chiropractic care is one of them.
A study in the Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics found that chiropractic treatment was successful in treating patients with range of motion problems. The study had 105 participants. Patients who received chiropractic care in this study had a great increase in range of motion when compared to patients who received placebo adjustments or no adjustments at all.
Chiropractic care uses spinal adjustments to improve flexibility and range of motion by identifying and treating subluxations or misalignments. Along with a spinal adjustment or other chiropractic techniques, a chiropractor will also recommend exercises to do at home.
Besides chiropractic care, flexibility can also be improved by losing weight, eating healthy, working out and getting good sleep.
